The Reel Shorts Film Festival
April 19-25
The Reel Shorts Film Festival celebrates short films and the filmmakers who make them by screening dozens of award-winning films from Canada and around the world as well as noteworthy films by Alberta and Peace Region filmmakers including youth.  We inspire and educate through our school program and workshops, and provide many opportunities to mingle with and meet attending filmmakers.  Reel Shorts – where short films add up to big entertainment!

Summer Slam
Jul 10 to 12
What began as a small slo-pitch tournament has become one of Grande Prairie's premiere summer events. Summerslam sees teams from across Alberta and British Columbia come to slug-it-out at the tournament during the day, while some of Canada's biggest bands perform at night. 2006's performers included David Wilcox, Theory of a Deadman, Stabilo, Our Lady Peace, Matt Mayes and El Torpedo and Blue Rodeo.

TELUS Country Fever
Jun 26 to 29
TELUS Country Fever takes place at Evergreen Park over the Canada Day long weekend and sees 17 popular country artists perform on a main stage and in the beer gardens.

Kleskun Hills
The Kleskun Hills are composed of layers of sediments and remains from a pre-historic river. Fossilized dinosaur bones and other materials can be found in the area. Nature walks allow visitors to explore and view native plant and bird species.

Jubilee Park
Jubilee Park is home to the Trumpeter Swan Statue. Measuring 3m (10ft) tall, the statue is a tribute to the trumpeter swan which was chosen as Grand Prairie's symbol in 1958.

Grande Prairie Museum
The Grande Prairie Museum presents the history and prehistory of Grande Prairie and the Peace River Region. Travelling exhibits, a community showcase, as well as 10 heritage buildings help to round out the museum. The museum also is a cornerstone for special events such as holiday celebrations and festivals.
